My “yes, no, maybe” to everything I read in August 📚
A gentle reminder that these are merely my personal takes on whether or not I would recommend them to others. 💖
Happy September, my loves!
August's reading turned out to be a very mixed bag, but I definitely came out with a couple of surprises and a very clear favorite. If you get a chance and have any interest at all in retellings of Greek myth, give Aphrodite in Pieces by Lauren J.A. Bear a read.
Speaking of Greek myth! If you caught my YouTube video all about my excitement regarding the National Book Festival in DC (recap/review of the event to come), I must humbly admit that I did NOT get to Emily Wilson's panel, nor did I grab a copy of Crossing the Wine-Dark Sea from the festival. That said, it did release this past Tuesday, and I am now the proud owner of a shiny new copy.
In the meantime, what did you read in August? Comment below, and let me know!
